Our "Manny Awards Dinner" is the premier male awards programs in Central Virginia. Ir is designed to celebrate the "Unsung Male Heroes" in our community through a semi-formal dinner that encourages men through community celebration and recognition. It seeks to empower them by honoring their effort and intentional involvement with their families and community.
It encourages them through recognition as unsung heroes in their families and community and honors them in the presence of their families, friends, co-workers and community with a night of celebration and connection. |

"A Night of Elegance, Recognition, Honor, Family, and Community"
Since the founding of My Brother’s Keeper of Greater Richmond (MBKGR) in 2009 and the establishment of its “33 the Series” and "Fatherhood" workshops, we’ve encountered countless men whose lives have inspired us with their amazing stories of faith, perseverance, and motivation to overcome the challenges of life. These men have often traveled an arduous path that’s filled with economic hardship, relationship dilemmas, lack of education, and spiritual obstacles. They have stepped out on faith to begin a journey toward being the men whom God intended them to be. We will be honoring nominees from the Greater Richmond region at our 3rd awards dinner a.k.a. “The Manny Awards Dinner.” This is a biannual event sponsored by MBKGR in Virginia and our partners. It is created to celebrate the unsung male heroes in the Greater Richmond area. They are not the men who are usually celebrated or praised. They are men, brothers, husbands, fathers, uncles, and sons who have intentionally worked hard to become men relationally, educationally, financially, and spiritually. They strive to improve their lives and the lives of others. |
